Anne's work is inspired by people and the themes of everyday life. Due to her love of travel, Anne's photographic sensibility is reflected by an insight into her fascination for different cultures.
Style
Anne is a “street photographer”. Her approach is a meditative one: there is nothing she loves more than walking the streets of Halifax or some far away locale, camera in hand, being totally in tune with the moment. She is “stopped” by colour, texture, light and gesture.
Technique
Since 2005, Anne has been shooting exclusively with a digital SLR camera. Her photographs are printed on the highest quality archival papers using either Piezo water based inkjet pigment or Epson K3 (pigment/dye hybrid) inks.
Background
Anne received her first camera at the age of 14 and has had a passion for photography ever since. Up until she went digital, her main focus was black and white photography and developing her own prints in her darkroom.
