For over a thousand years, pilgrims have walked the road to Santiago de Compostela in north-western Spain – the fabled Camino Santiago – in search of miracles, salvation, or adventure. In 2004, photographer Peter Coffman followed in their footsteps.
The resulting images are a very personal record of a thousand- kilometre walk across an amazing range of physical, emotional, and human landscapes. They are about the ever-changing texture of the road, the rhythm of small footsteps through a vast terrain, and the rich outward and inward journey that is the Camino Santiago.
Public Talk for Camino: Join photographer Peter Coffman for an evening of stories, images, sounds and music from the Camino Santiago. When: Wednesday, February 11, 8:00 - 9:00 pm Where: Alumni Hall, New Academic Building, University of King's College, 6350 Coburg Road Admission is free, all are welcome.
