Each of the images in this exhibition documents a chance encounter with light and pays tribute to openness and mindfulness that make such serendipity possible.
In this collection of images, the typical figure-ground relationship between light and the physical world is inverted: rather than light serving to illuminate places and things, places and things serve to illuminate light.
Allan Neilsen’s work has appeared in Zeugma, The Society, and Toward the Light and has been featured as cover art for numerous books including Word Fishing, Combustion, All the Perfect Disguises, and The Art of Writing Inquiry.
