Touchstones of Nova Scotia - Karen Nieuwland

Opening reception on June 3 from 6 – 9 p.m.
The exhibition is centered on photographs of fifteen spiritual sites in Nova Scotia, including: natural sites and churches in the Minas Basin as well as churches on the South Shore, Eastern Shore and French Shore a log church in the Antigonish area; the Anglican St. Georges Round Church, Greek Orthodox Church and Hindu temple in Halifax and a Muslim mosque in Dartmouth.
Through the fall of 2006, and the spring and fall of 2007, Karen Nieuwland traveled throughout Nova Scotia, taking photographs to accompany the text of a soon-to-be-published book by Bruce Armstrong called
