"My exhibition presents monochrome prints of the unique, stark beauty of an area in northern Norway. Over a period of four years (2006 – 2009) I collected many different images. With this show I would like to take you on a journey and give you an insight into the mood and feel of this place. I would describe this rough and weather beaten area as quite bleak and barren. But as I stayed there for awhile I gradually became aware of the hidden beauty emerging from this rough landscape. Everything seemed to be stripped down to its bare elements and I found myself spellbound by its unique beauty. I was overwhelmed by the fight between the elements of nature, presenting a wild and spectacular performance enhanced by the ever changing light conditions. Life seemed to move at a different pace there, and many things which seemed important in my life didn't seem to matter anymore. It was a strange feeling of existence, just being there confronted by bare nature."
